The Role
As a Certification & Airworthiness Engineer you will take ownership of certification, safety, and compliance activities across our UAS platforms. You will work closely with engineering, operations, and authorities to ensure our systems are safe, compliant, and ready for real-world deployment. This is a hands-on role with high responsibility. You are expected to take initiative, work independently, and drive topics to completion.
What you will do
- Own certification and airworthiness activities across FlyingBasket platforms
- Ensure compliance with applicable aviation regulations and internal standards
- Review and approve documentation related to design, operations, and certification
- Support from a regulatory and safety perspective Interface with EASA, national authorities, and external stakeholders
- Represent FlyingBasket in discussions with authorities and industry groups
- Plan and execute certification and compliance activities aligned with company goals
- Identify risks, gaps, and improvement areas, and implement practical solutions
What you bring
- Experience in certification, airworthiness, or aviation compliance specifically in UAS / drone industry
- Experience working with aviation authorities (e.g. EASA or national authorities)
- Strong understanding of safety and regulatory frameworks Structured, hands-on working style with strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to take ownership and operate independently
- English minimum at B2 level
- Valid work permit for Italy (EU)
